The Lincoln Motor Company has been a leader in the automotive market for many generations thanks to its superior craftsmanship, and they made it very clear that they intend to keep their place at the top at the 2016 New York Auto Show. With the release of the next-gen Lincoln Navigator Concept, they have caught the attention of several critics and consumers alike. From its revolutionary exterior to its breathtaking interior, the automaker's visions for the future is apparent in its design.

Donned in a rich blue hue, the Navigator Concept evokes images of the sky and the sea. Its unconventional presence is further reinforced by extravagant details like gull-wing doors and a lavish interior reminiscent of an aircraft more than a grounded automobile.

It speaks to the brand's aspirations to reach new heights. David Woodhouse, design director for the company, explains:

"We develop different types of concepts for different purposes, and they go from the most outrageous blue?sky proposition, which is as far into the future as you can possibly imagine, to something that’s a teaser of [what’s] to come."

The new Navigator is still in its early stages, and though it flaunts opulent features that may not make the final cut, Bob Smith Lincoln has faith that the final model will be a sensational hit. Until then, we recommend that you take the current Navigator models for sale for a test drive to get an idea of the inspiration behind what's to come.
